The Kano State Police has arrested a 26-year-old man from Sitti Village, Sumaila LGA, Kano State for, allegedly creating a woman’s fake Facebook profile and uploading photos and videos of her on the social media platform, using it to defraud Randy lovers.
The accused, Musa L Maje, also specialises in using male and female names to create Social Media accounts, and defrauding his victims, especially randy lovers.

In a statement released by SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the state’s police public relations officer, the suspect was arrested after a public outcry over his nefarious activities on various Social Media platforms.
The police spokesman added that he was reported for using male and female names, pictures, and videos to create multiple accounts on Facebook, WhatsApp, and other platforms, and defrauding many people, particularly randy lovers.

He added that luck ran out on him when a 20-year-old lady identified as Zahra Mansur, complained that she has gotten phone calls from close friends alleging that someone is using her identity, photos, and videos to create Facebook accounts and deceiving unsuspecting members of the public.
Kiyawa said, the Commissioner of Police in Kano raised and instructed a team of detectives led by SP Shehu Dahiru to apprehend the perpetrator after receiving these complaints.

With the aid of technical support, the suspect, one Musa Lurwanu Maje, generally known on social media as Musa L Maje, 26 years old, of Sitti Village, Sumaila LGA, Kano State, was apprehended after sustained operations and intelligence-led follow-up.
The culprit was arrested in possession of a Redmi Note 11 Pro mobile phone worth N200,000:00 and other accessories purchased with the proceeds of fraud. He was also found to be in possession of seventy thousand naira. He was also found with naked images and recordings of victims.
On investigation, the suspect confessed that he specialized in the use of Social Media and creates fake Social Media accounts to defraud unsuspecting members of the public. He claimed to have created a fake Facebook account bearing ‘’Zahra Mansur‘’ and uses her pictures and videos to defraud people without her consent. He also confessed to having deceived many people and got their nude pictures and videos, and threatened to blackmail them if they refuse to send money to him.
