Woman stabs co-wife to death in Ondo State over sex turn with their husband.
Rebecca Nicodemus, 25, has been charged with the murder of her co-wife, Precious Nicodemus, over sex turns with their husband in Akure Magistrates’ Court in Ondo state.

The suspect, who lives in Idogun Camp in Ode-Irele in the state’s Irele Local Government Area, is accused of stabbing the first wife to death because she received particular care from their husband while she was neglected.
While exiting their husband’s room, Rebecca allegedly confronted the deceased and stabbed her, alleging that the man had been focusing all of his energy and attention on her.
The deceased was hurried to the hospital, but she was pronounced dead and her body was taken to the mortuary.
Obadasa Ajiboye, the Police Prosecutor, told the court that the defendant killed the deceased by stabbing her in the left backside with a knife, causing her death.
He told the court that the accused, a farmer, committed the crime around 5.00 a.m. at Idogun Camp in Ondo, via Ode-Irele.
“That you, Rebecca Nicodemus, on the same date, time, and place in the aforementioned Magisterial District, did kill by stabbing one Precious Nicodemus with a knife at her left backside, resulting in her death, and thereby committed an offence, contrary to and punishable under Sections 316 and 319 of the Criminal Code, Cap. 37, Vol. 1, Laws of Ondo State of Nigeria, 2006,” according to the charge sheet.
The accused admitted to the murder but pleaded not guilty, claiming that she had no intention of killing the victim.
“I married Paul Nicodemus, my husband. I arrived in Ondo State in January 2022, and we were leaving in the same house; I’m a farmer, and we’ve been living in peace with the deceased.

“On that fateful day, my husband had been with me in the living room earlier in the day, but he had to excuse himself under the pretext that we were not free to continue our lovemaking.
She was enraged when she learned her husband had returned to the room with his first wife while she was waiting for him to begin their lovemaking.
“I also overheard them make disparaging comments about me.” So I waited in the sitting room for them to come out of the bedroom before confronting her, but she abruptly grabbed my cloths. So I grabbed a knife from the parlour and stabbed her in the back with it.
“Neighbors hurried took the suffering Precious Nicodemus to the hospital, but the doctor on duty confirmed she was dead.” “It was not my aim to kill her; I was enraged and overreacted,” she explained.
Despite the fact that she did not enter a plea, the prosecution submitted an oral application to remand the defendant in custody pending the outcome of the Director of Public Prosecutions’ advice (DPP).
Magistrate Damilola Sekoni ordered the accused individual to be remanded in police custody and delayed the case until February 22, 2022, for a decision on the remand application.
