The Ugandan woman who sparked outrage when she was filmed mercilessly beating her baby has been sent to prison according to reports emanating from Uganda.

The suspect, Dorothy Nabulime, has pleaded guilty to the charges that was brought against her.
According to police in Uganda, Ms Nabulime will remain at the Butuntumula Prison’s remand till September 13, 2022, when she’s expected to return to court for sentence.
Nabulime was arrested over the weekend with the Ugandan Director of Criminal Investigations, Tom Magambo confirming her arrest.

According to Nabulime’s neighbours, Nabulime had been torturing her child for quite some time now but all efforts to stop her and numerous warnings fell on deaf ears.
Deborah Nahwera the lady who recorded the video said that they had earlier reported the incident to the police but they demanded for an evidence.
According to the lady who recorded the video, their landlady told her to record a video when she starts beating up the child again as it has been going on for a while.
Neighbours tried several times to stop her but she continued abusing the poor kid, So she started recording Nabulime from her room she said.
Ms Nahwera (the recorder) said that she shared the video with people to backup what they’ve been telling them.
Another neighbour Ms Harriet Masika also said, she told Nabulime that the torture on the child was too much but she wouldn’t listen.
