Yahaya Muhammed Galadima, a 25-year-old mechanic, is currently in the hospital after being attacked by unknown gunmen who severed his hands, according to the Daily Trust.
Galadima, who specialises in repairing J5 vehicles, was ambushed and attacked by unknown gunmen while returning from Rukubi in Nasarawa State’s Doma Local Government Area.

Galadima recounted his ordeal, saying the attackers also carted away with his motorcycle, money, and cellphone.
“It happened approximately 8:00 p.m.,” said the victim.
“Salisu Haruna, one of my apprentices, accompanied me to Rukubi in the state’s Doma Local Government Area.”
“We rode there on my motorcycle to repair one of my customers’ J5 buses, which had developed a technical problem.”

“We were suddenly ambushed while returning from Agbabo along Rukubi before Yeluwa.
“Both of us fell off my motorcycle before we realized what was going on,” he explained.
Galadima went on to say that the gunmen took all of the money he had on him at the time, as well as his phone. He claimed they snatched his motorcycle after inflicting several machete cuts on him.
“They cut off my two hands before asking them what was wrong,” he added.
ASP Nansel Ramhan, a spokesman for the Nasarawa State Police Command, confirmed the incident and urged members of the public to provide useful information to the police that would lead to the arrest of the perpetrators.
