Officials of the Lagos State Rapid Response Squad (RRS) have arrested two armed robbers early Saturday morning for robbing a Kano-bound 18-seater bus near Otedola Bridge after it developed a flat tyre.
Afolabi Ayomide (22) and Ezekiel Nwagu (21) were allegedly arrested in an uncompleted building near the Otedola Bridge in Lagos.

The two armed robbers, together with another eight accomplices, robbed passengers on a Kano-bound hummer bus that suffered a flat tyre on its way to Ojodu – Berger.
The bus parked near Otedola bridge after it developed a flat tyre, according to one of the passengers who wishes to remain nameless.
According to him, they were about halfway through repairing the tyre when they noticed that two young men were checking them out around 11:00 p.m.
The two young men they’d seen earlier later surfaced with eight other accomplices, armed with knife and other dangerous weapons.
The robbers then pounced on them, stole some of the passengers’ belongings and fled the area.
When the RRS Decoy Team learned of the robbery, they scanned and raided the hideout of the criminals within the location and were able to arrest two of the suspects, who were confirmed by the passengers to be part of the group that robbed them.
Meanwhile, the Decoy Team also arrested additional 35 people in the blackspot raid that spread to Ojota, Ketu, Ikosi, Ojodu – Berger, and certain portions of Agege over the weekend.
CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi had commanded the Decoy Team to continue the raid till the level of crime in the state decreased early Saturday morning, while screening some of the arrested suspects.
