Gallant Troops of the Nigerian Army have killed scores of Boko Haram terrorists and recovered weapons around Kangarwa/Metele in Borno State.
In a Facebook post, the Nigerian Army said, the ongoing offensive onslaught by troops yielded positive result as troops of Operation Desert Sanity killed several ISWAP/BokoHaram terrorists around Kangarwa/Metele in Borno State.

The reports also revealed that troops recovered cache of weapons and ammunition, among other things.

Between September 2021 and April 2022, more than 50,000 terrorists and their families surrendered to troops of Operation Hadin Kai in the North-East, following the Nigerian military’s offensive against the Boko Haram/ISWAP militants.

There has also been rumours off infighting in the camp of terrorists. About two days ago, it was revealed that Boko Haram fighters eliminated 10 ISWAP terrorists.

A Security Analyst and Counter-Insurgency Expert in the North East, Zagazola Makama disclosed this on Twitter where he shared videos of some of the Boko Haram terrorists on rampage.

According to him, at least 10 terrorists from the ISWAP faction, including top Commanders were executed by its affiliates, Jama’at Ahl as-Sunnah lid-Da’wah wa’l-Jihad faction of Boko Haram in the North East of Lake Chad.

He also revealed that the Boko Haram terrorists faction of one Buduma overwhelmed ISWAP in a gun battle which resulted in the killing of many fighters in the river bank between Kadunan Ruwa and Kandahar axis of Niger Republic.

Borno and Yobe, as well as neighboring Adamawa state, have been hit hard by Islamist warfare that has cost over 27,000 lives and driven over 1.8 million people to from their homes over the last decade.
