According to a source, a 3-year-old toddler with gun in Illinois uunintentionally shot and killed his mother after finding the revolver in the backseat of the family’s car.
According to WLS, the horrific tragedy occurred after Dejah Bennet and her boyfriend arrived with her son at a supermarket in the Chicago suburb of Dolton on Saturday.

The kid was in the backseat of the car and began playing with the pistol when it discharged, according to the report.
Bennet was hit in the neck by the gunshot. Soon later, she was pronounced dead.
Following the deadly shooting, Andrew Holmes, a Dolton community volunteer, distributed 400 gun locks outside the shop on Sunday while speaking to shoppers, families in particular, about the importance of gun safety.
“It is quite significant. If you have guns at home, make sure they’re locked up. It doesn’t matter whether you have small children; they get into everything “Crystal Lyons, a Dolton resident, agreed.
“It only takes a second to open it, thread it through the barrel, bring it back around, put it in, and lock it,” Holmes continued. “If you’re going to leave it, make sure it’s safe.”
Romell Watson, the boy’s father, who was also present at the time of the shooting, was immediately arrested and later charged with a misdemeanor firearms offense, according to WLS.
