In Order To Inherit Her Properties, Abia Man Abducts And Kills Wife Alongside 3 Other Accomplices.
The Nigerian Police Intelligence Response Team (IRT) has arrested a man in connection with the kidnapping and killing of his wife in order to inherit her properties.
Emeh Kalu was arrested, along with four others, in connection with the abduction and gruesome murder of Mrs Nneka Nwanyi-Sunday Emeh Kalu, who was reported missing and later discovered dead in a cassava farm on August 29, 2021, in Ngugworo Community, Nguzu Edda, Afikpo South, Ebonyi State.
Emeh Kalu, a resident of Nguzu Edda village in Ebonyi State’s Afikpo South Local Council Area, was detained by police for plotting the kidnapping and death of his wife.

In connection with the gruesome murder of the victim, three other accomplices have been apprehended by members of the Nigerian Police Intelligence Response Team (IRT).
According to reports, Kanu, the victim’s spouse reported her missing at first.
Her body, however, was discovered on August 29 at a cassava farm in Ngugworo Community, Nguzu Edda, Afikpo South, Ebonyi State.

Emeh Kalu and his accomplices, Irem Ifeanyi Mbah, Igwe Anya Chima, and Okorie Okam, were then arrested after a police investigation revealed they could have a hand in the murder.

Emeh Kalu is being treated as the main suspect, the mastermind behind the operation, and the executioner.
The killing of Nneka was investigated after a complaint was received from the inhabitants of Ngugworo community, Ebonyi State, a border town to Abia State, where the victim lived, when the late Mrs Kalu’s decorposing body was discovered in their neighborhood.
The deceased’s husband, Emeh Kalu, craved Nneka’s considerable assets, including landed property, residences, money in the bank, and a booming business, according to the police.
He wished to inherit the assets as soon as possible.
He employed the help of five other criminals to stage the kidnapping of his wife by persuading her to meet him at a junction to pick up some household items.
The crooks strangled her after acquiring crucial information on the whereabouts of title documents and other pertinent paperworks among her possessions, according to the investigation.
Efforts are being intensified to arrest other suspects and persons indicted in the matter with a view to concluding the investigations.
The Police in a statement Wednesday condoled with Nneka’s family for the unfortunate loss.

”Investigations by the Police team revealed that Emeh Kalu – the husband of the deceased, in a bid to fraudulently and hastily ‘inherit’ his wife’s numerous assets including landed property, houses, money in bank and thriving business, etc, procured the services of five (5) other criminal elements to stage the abduction of his wife by luring her to meet him at a junction to pick up somethings for the house.
Investigations further revealed how the criminals strangled her to death after obtaining necessary information on the whereabouts of title documents and other relevant papers of her possessions. Efforts are being intensified to arrest other suspects and persons indicted in the matter with a view to concluding the investigations.
