Terrorists Kill Nigerian Military Officer Who Went To Visit His Parents In Kebbi

Gunmen suspected to be bandits have assasinated a Nigerian military officer who went to pay a visit to his parents in Kebbi State.

The unfortunate incident happened over the weekend, according to SaharaReporters.

The deceased Nigerian military officer whose name was given as Corporal Umaru Sanda was serving at the 13 Brigade, Nigerian Army unit in Calabar, Cross River State.

According to reports, the commercial bus he boarded while on his way to Zuru, Kebbi State, to see his parents was ambushed by the gunmen.

It was gathered that the gunmen opened fire on Umaru, who was wearing a mufti, when they found out that he had an army ID card on him. He died on the spot.

SaharaReporters learnt that the deceased had been buried according to Islamic rites.
