Barely 24 hours after the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba, patrolled the Abuja-Kaduna Highway, terrorists allegedly stormed Kamazo area of Chikun Local Government Area in Southern Kaduna on Monday night, killing one person and kidnapping nine others, including a policewoman and her children.
The attack, which took place about 9:00 p.m., left the entire village tense, with residents fleeing in all directions to avoid the gunmen’s wrath.

According to a resident of the community, the person killed, who is a commercial motorcycle rider, was dropping off the policewoman at her home when the attackers struck.

After killing the motorcycle rider, the terrorists kidnapped the policewoman and two of her children, and took them with the other kidnapped victims to an unknown location.
“The terrorists entered the community through a bush section that ran parallel to the expressway.”
“On their way in, they abducted some residents before coming upon the motorcycle rider dropping off the policewoman at her home.
In recent months, Kaduna has been the scene of a succession of terror attacks and kidnappings, with the state and federal governments appearing impotent to control the situation.
Terrorists detonated a bomb on an Abuja-Kaduna train in the Rigasa area of the state on March 28, killing nine people and kidnapping around 140 others.
Terrorists invaded Jere in Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Sunday night, abducting an unknown number of people.
Since the beginning of 2022, there have been several more brutal terrorist attacks in Kaduna, with the authorities unable to safeguard inhabitants of towns around the state.
