There are worries that seven mobile police officers may have been killed late Tuesday evening in Katsina State when terrorists, often known as bandits, stormed a security post.
According to SaharaReporters, the incident occurred around 11 p.m. on Sheme-Kankara road in the Kankara Local Government Area of the state.

It was also revealed that some civilians were killed by stray bullets as policemen battled the over 200 terrorists in a fierce gun duel.
The terrorists also kidnapped a yet-to-be ascertained number of people.
Despite being President Muhammadu Buhari’s home state, Katsina has seen intermittent attacks by bandits and kidnappers that have taken many lives.
In the last five months, gunmen are said to have killed around 700 individuals in the state’s Jibia, Kankara, Dutsinma, Musawa, Danmusa, and Safana local government areas.
On December 11, 2020, 344 pupils from Kankara’s Government Science Secondary School were abducted by bandits. A week later, they were released.
On the same day, 84 Islamiyya students from Hizburrahim Islamiyya in Mahuta village, Dandume Local Government Area, were kidnapped but later rescued.
