The Amotekun corps has arrested a suspected ritualist identified as Afeez Odusanya, for extracting teeth of dead bodies at a burial ground for money ritual purposes in Osun State.
The 33-year-old suspect admitted that he began his quest for money in 2016, but that it failed twice when teeth were extracted from two different bodies in Sagamu, Ogun State.

Odusanya claimed that the two bodies he previously evacuated were from 2016 and 2020, but he was caught during the third attempt at the Ilesha burial ground.

He said all of these while being paraded by the Amotekun corps in Sabo area, Osogbo, the Osun State capital, on Wednesday.
“I was caught while evacuating a body from a burial ground in Ilesha that I intended to use for a money ritual.
“Since 2016, I’ve been evacuating bodies and extracting their parts for money rituals, but the rituals have always failed.
“I evacuated corpses in Sagamu, Ogun State, but was arrested in Osun while attempting to remove a corpse’s tooth.”
“Removing the tooth from the corpse takes me around 30 minutes, but it takes me lesser time with my previous experiences.”
“I will advise other young people who are considering participating in a money ritual to avoid it because it is not real.”
According to the Field Commandant, Osun Amotekun, Comrade Amitolu Shittu, the suspect would be handed over to conventional security for prosecution.
