A South African man has been arrested for taking the laws into his own hand by kidnapping and murdering persons who were accused of breaking into his house.
Lieutenant General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela, the Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Mpumalanga, has strongly condemned an incident in which four people suspected of burglary were kidnapped and assaulted at Kanyamazane a few days ago.

According to a statement by the South African Police Service, two bodies of the victims were recovered yesterday, April 9, 2022, at Pienaar; one is still missing, and another managed to escape with injuries after being battered and his family took him to the hospital for treatment.
According to investigations, the four persons were kidnapped by their assailants on April 6, 2022, after a burglary was reported in Kanyamazane, where household items worth about R 11 000 were allegedly stolen by them.
The items stolen include a 40-inch Hisense TV, three telephones (a Summung, Huawei, and iPhone), some apparel (Jean’s), and a USB.
According to the complaint, the victims were kidnapped and violently assaulted after being accused of being the perpetrators of the crime.
The one who made it out alive lived to tell the tale. Unfortunately, two of the suspected buglars have already died.
The situation was brought to the notice of the Pienaar police, who conducted an investigation that led to the suspect’s arrest.
Other suspects are still being sought by police, and the investigation into the missing person is still ongoing.
The suspect is likely to appear in court soon, to charged with two counts of murder, with additional charges possible as the investigation continues.
