Mogwase police have arrested a 25-year-old man for the alleged murder of a 2-year-old baby girl on Saturday, 16 April 2022 at Lerome East village near Mogwase outside Rustenburg in South Africa.
According to a press statement by the South African Police Service, wethe little girl was with her father when the man forced his way into a house and wanted to see his lover, who used to live there.

The baby’s father informed him that he did not know the lady and at that point, the man is said to have attacked the baby’s father, who was forced to go outside. He returned a few moments later to find the door shut.
As a result, he and his neighbors busted down the door and discovered the baby with head injuries on the bed.
Members of the community allegedly pounced on the suspect.
The baby was thereafter rushed to the hospital after police and paramedics were called upon. However, she was declared dead on arrival.
The suspect was also transported to the hospital with significant injuries and is anticipated to appear in Mogwase Magistrates’ Court shortly after being released.
