THIS IS TRULY TOUCHING: Nigerian soldiers seen giving bread and water to the families of repentant Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists.
Indeed, these soldiers are following the word of God that says; “If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink.”
These are repentant Boko Haram/ISWAP fighters and their families numbering 104 comprising 22 males, 27 females and 55 children.

According the Nigerian Army, the insurgents and members of their families surrendered to troops of 25 Task Force Brigade Damboa, Borno State on Saturday 5 February 2022.

Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists have been fleeing their hideouts in droves as a result of aerial bombardment by the Nigerian Air Force and concerted efforts by ground troops, as well as the threat of annihilation.
They are fleeing the military bombardment and surrendering after suffering casualties as a result of the troops’ shelling of their camps.

The insurgents have recently suffered a significant setback and multiple casualties as a result of savage offensives by gallant troops of operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) in the North, there making them to surrender to troops.

However, despite their atrocities against the Nigerian state especially the security agents, soldiers have not held back in caring for the needs of the family members of these repentant Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists as depicted in the pictures above.
This kind gesture by the Nigerian Army personnel is highly commendable and it reminds me of the saying by popular Indian scholar, Mahatma Gandhi, which says; “An eye for an eye will leave everybody blind one day.”
Indeed, it would be unfair to treat the families of these insurgents badly because most of them may be victims of circumstances.
God bless these Nigerian soldiers for their kind gesture.
May Nigeria keep winning.
