Another suspect in the gruesome murder of Kenya Institute of Mass Communication (KIMC) student Purity Wangechi, has been arrested according to Kenya’s Directorate of Criminal investigations.
The latest arrest takes the number of arrested suspects in the Purity Wangechi murder case to four (4), including the prime suspect who happens to be the boyfriend ofnthe victim.
As detectives burn the midnight candle to bring all of Purity Wangechi’s killers to justice, a 22-year-old man, Isaac Kariuki Kibui, was allegedly arrested this morning at Thindigua Delish Nail bar in Kiambu county of Kenya.

Following his arrest, Kariuki was taken to his home, where a thorough search yielded the discovery of a blood-stained jacket worn by the suspect the night of the murder.
Experts from the DCI National Forensic Laboratory’s Biology unit will conduct forensic examination on the jacket.

The DNA testing experts will be looking to determine if the blood stains match up with samples taken from the deceased by their crime scene counterparts.
Purity Wangechi’s body, which had stab wounds and strangulation marks, was discovered by the roadside near Mburiria estate in Kiambu county on Saturday morning.
The arrest of Kibui brings the total number of suspects in Purity’s gruesome murder to four, and detectives are determined to bring all of her killers to justice.

Purity Wangechi, 19, died a horrible death after discovering that the man she had fallen in love with was a dangerous man and confronting him, according to investigations.
Meanwhile, John Wanyoike Kibungi alias VDJ Flexx, the mastermind behind the murder, and two additional accomplices Kinaiya Kamau and Brendan Muchiri were arraigned in the Kiambu law courts earlier this morning.
The suspects will be held in custody for 14 days while investigators complete their investigations, according to the court.
