The Lagos State Police Command has confiscated 10 sacks of illegal substances believed to be Indian hemp.
The Indian Hemp, carefully packed in 10 sacks, were being transported from Iddo to Mushin in a Lagos color commercial bus with registration number LND 995 XT.

According to a statement by Lagos State Command Police Public Relations Officers, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the suspects ran out of luck when observant Rapid Response Squad (RRS) operatives on routine patrol stopped the bus at Stadium Bus Stop, Surulere, at around 0400 hours on April 29, 2022.

While two of the vehicle’s occupants managed to flee, the driver, Amodu Agbaje, was captured. The accused driver stated he was paid 25,000 Naira (N25,000) to transport the drugs, which had a street value of three million Naira (N3,000,000).
CP Abiodun Alabi, fdc, mnim, psc, Lagos State Commissioner of Police, has directed the Commander RRS, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, to transfer the suspect and exhibits to the Command Headquarters for further investigation.
