Three suspected ritualists have been arrested by the Osun State Police Command in connection with the alleged murder of a 53-year-old lady in Ile Ogbo, Osun State.
The suspected ritualists, namely; Muideen Nafiu (43), Yusuf Muslim (44) and Rabiu Fatai (51), were alleged to have plotted to kill the woman sometimes in March of this year.

According to the Commissioner of Police, Olawale Olokode, the victim, Aisat Yekeen, was reported missing in Ile Ogbo in the state’s Ayedire local government area, and the police immediately commenced investigation into the matter.

“On the 28th of March 2022, the complainant reported at the station that his mother Aisat Yekeen (53yrs) had gone missing on the 8th of March 2022 and that all efforts to locate her had failed.”
A team of police detectives sprang into action right away, visiting the victim’s home in Ile Ogbo, Ayedire Local Government, and gathering some reasonable information.

“The investigators worked on the piece of information and expanded their investigation to Lalupon, where the first suspect Muideen Tunji Nafiu was arrested on April 5th, 2022.”
He admitted to conspiring with one Yusuf Muslim to kill the woman in his Ile Ogbo home for ritual purposes.
They allegedly removed the deceased’s head, hands, legs, and heart before burying the rest of the body in a nearby bush at Ile Ogbo, he said.
“Consequently, Yusuf Muslim was arrested in his house at Agoro road, and one Rabiu Fatai (alias Orela), the body parts receiver, was also arrested,” the police said.
According to the police, the remains of the deceased were exhumed and a government pathologist performed an autopsy on her, and the suspects would be charged in court after the inquiry is completed.
