Operatives attached to Ajah Divisional Police Headquarters in Ajah, Lagos, have arrested three notorious armed robbers specialising in terrorising commuters and motorists within Ajah area of Lagos state.
The suspects identified as Emeka George, aged 30, Ahmed Balogun aged 23, and Bolaji Elewuro aged 29 were arrested after the Anti-crime patrol team intercepted their silver-colored Honda City vehicle with registration number GGE 288 GV.

According to a statement by the Lagos state police public relations officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the suspects were arrested on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at about 1240 hrs at the Ajah underbridge during a routine patrol by Anti-Crime patrol team attached to the Ajah Divisional Police Headquarters in Ajah, Lagos.

He said; “In an exhibition of conscientiousness, the operatives on reasonable suspicion conducted a courteous search on the occupants of the vehicle and in the process recovered 1 locally made pistol with 3 live cartridges.
“The operatives acted quickly and suspects were taken to the station, and the preliminary investigation has begun,” he said.
He further noted that In his resolve to ensure the safety and security of Lagosians, Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Abiodun Alabi, fdc, mnim, psc, has pledged that all necessary steps will be taken to combat insecurity.
He’s also ordered that the suspects and exhibits be handed over to the CP Special Squad for a more private inquiry.
