The Lagos State Rapid Response Squad on Thursday confirmed the arrest of 3 notorious Lagos traffic robbers.
In a statement posted on the security agency’s Facebook page, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Police Public Relations Officer of the state said the notorious Lagos traffic robbers were arrested by Rapid Response Squad (RRS) agents on the 5th of April, at Toyota bus stop near Oshodi, Lagos.

Hundeyin said a Beretta pistol and four rounds of ammo were recovered from the criminals.
“The traffic robbers were apprehended quickly thanks to a tip-off from concerned Lagos residents to RRS personnel patrolling Ladipo and Oshodi,” he said.

According to preliminary investigations, the accused suspects are members of the Aro–Baga cult group.
Their names and aliases are; Omuyibo Goddey (32), also known as Aro Ghetto Boy, Destiny Nwanga (27), also known as Aro Smiling God, and Ebuka Igwe (23), also known as Aro Do or Die.
Goddey, one of the 3 notorious Lagos traffic robbers disclosed that they were about to rob their second victim when the RRS patrol squad arrived at the location,
Following up on the arrest, the RRS converged at 7 Alhaji Monsuru Street in Ijegun, where two more suspects were apprehended.
According to investigations, Nwanga works as a fuel pump repairer at Ladipo Spare Part Market, Omuyibo is a welder, and Igwe is a drug dealer.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alabi fdc, mnim, psc, has directed that the three suspects and exhibits be transferred to the CP’s Special Squad for further investigation and prosecution.
