According to the Nigerian police public relations officer, Ekiti State Command, ASP Abutu Sunday, unknown persons went into one Babafemi Jide’s home in Odo-Oro, Ado-Ekiti on November 22, 2021, at about 0900 hours and stole one plasma television, one photocopy/printing machine, one video recording camera, one stabilizer, one tiger generator, and a sack containing raw rice.

The Command’s Rapid Response Squad (RRS) sprang into action after receiving the report and arrested a notorious armed robber identified as ALABA AKINLADE in connection with the crime.
During interrogation, ALABA AKINLADE confessed to the crime and claimed to be a member of an armed robbery gang that includes two other people who are still on the run.
All of the stolen items were recovered from him. The RRS Operatives’ investigative efforts also led them to their hideout along Afao Road in Ado-Ekiti, where they were found with three pump action weapons, one Beretta handgun, and forty-one live cartridges.
The accused suspect is a notorious armed robber and an ex-convict who was just freed from the Nigeria Correctional Center in Ado-Ekiti, according to the investigation.
Meanwhile, efforts are being made to apprehend the fleeing suspects.
