Today, news emanating from various sources has revealed that while on routine patrol along the Maiduguri-Damboa highway in Borno State, some Nigerian troops fighting boko haram discovered and safely detonated an Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) buried by the dreaded Islamist militants.
According to one of the sources who posted photos from the insident on his Facebook page, the gallant Nigerian troops fighting boko haram did not waste any time in detonating the bomb.

After the bomb has been successfully disabled, the gallant troops in collaboration with some members of the Borno State Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) helped to refill the spot to allow ease of movement along the affected road.

Kudos to these gallant Nigerian troops fighting boko haram insurgents in the Northeastern part of the country for quickly spotting and successfully detonating this particular IED. This is one of the methods in which the dreaded Islamic insurgents use in sending our soldiers to their early graves.
The terrorists plant IEDs along the paths of Nigerian Soldiers, hoping that they’ll step on it, paving the way for a direct ambush.
This time is different as gallant troops intelligently spotted and disarmed the bomb.
