Scores of terrorists of the Islamic State and West Africa Province (ISWAP) and Boko Haram have been killed in an encounter with Nigerian soldiers from the 402 SF Brigade of Nigeria’s counter terrorism operation in the North-east.

This was disclosed in a statement by the Nigerian Army on Tuesday.
According to the statement, Nigerian soldiers from the 402 Special Forces Brigade, neutralized many ISWAP/Boko Haram terrorists at Timbuktu Triangle in Borno State yesterday, February 21, 2022.

The operation that led to the milestone success was part of Nigerian Army clearance operations and battlefield dominance.

Weapons, bombs, a Mowag APC, and a TCV were among the items recovered by the troops.

In a similar vein, Nigerian soldiers from the 26th Task Force brigade launched a clearance operation and aggressive patrol in Fadagwe village and surrounding settlements.

However, due to the superior firepower of the army, the terrorists withdrew in disarray. Several terrorists’ operational cars were recovered as can be seen in the above photos.

“Similarly, troops 26 Task Force brigade conducted clearance operation & aggressive patrol to Fadagwe village and adjoining settlements in Borno State. The terrorists withdrew in disarray due to troops superior firepower. Several operational vehicles of the terrorists were recovered.”
