Facebook user, Solomon Gimba, has disclosed that his brother, is one of the Nigerian soldier killed by armed bandits in Kaduna.
Mr. Solomon Gimba, a brother to a Nigerian soldier killed in a gun duel with armed bandits in Kaduna State, has paid tribute to his brother in a series of Facebook posts.

Recall that on Monday night, April 4, bandits riding on motorcycles and brandishing heavy weapons such as rocket-propelled grenades (RPG) reportedly stormed a military base in Polwire village, engaging the troops in an intense gun battle.
Mr Gimba’s brother, simply identified as Hassan was allegedly one of the soldiers who paid the ultimate price during the gun battle.

Mr Gimba, a resident of Southern Kaduna, used Facebook on Tuesday, April 5, to express his grief over his younger brother.

He wrote;
“It was a shocking news of your death my kid brother. You died in a battle field by bandits in protecting your fatherland in Kaduna state. Continue resting at master feet. Pray for my family.”

In another post, he wrote;
“Continue rest in peace my brother evil one cut your life short, God will surely expose them, Kaduna??? Bandit??? God bring peace in Nigeria.”
Hundreds of people have been kidnapped and killed by armed bandits in northwest Nigeria over the last decade.
Last Monday, an attack by armed groups known locally as bandits on a military base in Birnin Gwari in Nigeria’s northwestern state of Kaduna left at least 10 soldiers dead and an unconfirmed number of others wounded.
Channels Television revealed that the gunmen engaged soldiers at the base in a duel last Monday evening, citing security sources.
