Nigerian Senator’s Son Murdered By Best Friend, Dumped In Hotel Swimming Pool

The son of a Nigerian Senator representing Kano South, Senator Kabiri Ibrahim Gaya has reportedly been murdered by one of his best friend and dumped in a hotel’s pool in Abuja

Sadiq Kabiru Gaya, the Nigerian Senator’s son, who is said to be a lawyer at Nigerian assets management agency was allegedly killed on Tuesday evening in Abuja.

According to one Kabiru Ado Muhd on Facebook “the Nigerian Senator’s son was invited by his best friend to a hotel in Abuja. The friend allegedly stabbed him in the chest and dumped his lifeless body into the hotel’s swimming pool.

Kabiru Ado then added that the alleged friend took Sodiq’s phone and transferred the sum of N20m (Twenty million naira).

Another report alleged that Sadiq’s murder was masterminded by a friend over the sum of N3.5m.

Meanwhile the FCT Police Command’s Spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, confirming the incident, noted that five suspects in connection with the murder were in police custody as investigation continued.

Adeh said Kabiru Gaya reported a case of suspected homicide of one of his sons, Sadiq Gaya, who was alleged to have drowned in a swimming pool at Dominate Luxury Apartment.

“The deceased family reported that the death was not natural as they suspected foul play.”

Late Sadiq Gaya, is a law graduate of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He also holds an LL.M (Masters Degree in Law & Letters) from the University in Wales, United Kingdom. He was buried immediately according to Islamic rites and is survived by a wife and two children
