The Regimental Sergeant Major of the Nigerian Army Women’s Corps was gifted a brand new Toyota Hilux vehicle by the Chief of Army Staff (COAS).
The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya presented a brand new Toyota Hilux vehicle to Army Warrant Officer (AWO) Sheba Paris, the Regimental Sergeant Major, Nigerian Army Women’s Corps and the first NA Female International Volley Ball Referee, as part of a series of activities commemorating Armed Forces Remembrance Day 2022.

The Commander Nigerian Army Women’s Corps Colonel DE Adamu, who presented the car on behalf of the COAS, complimented the RSM and encouraged the beneficiary to repay the gesture by instilling proper maintenance culture in order for the vehicle to serve its purpose.

He went on to say that the purpose of the presentation was to restore the prestige connected with the position of an RSM in accordance with NA customs, ethics, and traditions.
In her remarks, AWO Sheba Paris expressed her gratitude to the COAS for recognizing her as deserving of the car and promised to put it to good use.

Sheba joined the Army in 1987 and was assigned to the Directorate of Army Physical Training (DAPT) in Zaria.
She took a variety of courses, including Basic PT, Advanced PT, Probation Refresher, Handball Coaching, and Badminton Coaching, to name a few. In 2013, Sheba got the COAS Award for becoming the first female International Volleyball Referee.
