At least, another 77 suspected hoodlums have been arrested in various parts of Niger State, by the Niger State Police Command’s task force team.
The 77 hoodlums were arrested in different parts of the state by the taskforce over the weekend in a bid to rid the state of street urchins who terrorised innocent people and extort money from them.

Various dangerous weapons and illicit drugs were seized from the hoodlums in the operation which took place over the weekend of January 28th-30th, 2022 at Tudun-Fulani, Rafin-Yashi, Gbeganu, and Soje-A areas of Minna, Niger State.

This is in addition to the arrests of around one hundred (100) hoodlums at Limawa, Anguwar-Daji, Anguwar-Sarki, Abayi-Close, Kwangila, Anguwar-Biri, Anguwar-Kaje, Anguwar-Kadara, New-Market, and other locations within the state.

While parading the suspect, DSP Wasiu A. Abiodun, on behalf of Niger State commissioner of police reassured Nigerlites/residents that the Police Department is not resting on its laurels when it comes to maintaining peace and tranquillity in the state.
He therefore encouraged residents of the state to go about their lawful businesses without fear of being harassed, intimidated, or molested.
