Other cartel members operating in the axis, quickly mobilized hoodlums who attacked the officers with stones, bottles, and pistols in an attempt to prevent the officers from arresting anyone in the area. They also tried to free the suspects already in the custody of the NDLEA officials.
However, the NDLEA officials were able to defend themselves tactically and took the suspects and exhibits away.
Other suspects arrested alongside Mrs. Lawal include; Ahmed Yisau, Solomon Alape, Olayemi Akinola, Salami Qudus, Bakare Rafiu, Rose Samson, Yusuf Rofiat, and Chukwudi Egon.
