The NDLEA have announced the arrest of a wanted drug baroness, after raiding her home in Delta State.
According the Femi Babafemi, the director for media and advocacy NDLEA headquarters in Abuja, the notorious drug baroness has been the backbone of a major cartel distributing drugs in Delta and neighboring states.
However, the backbone of the drug cartel in the state was broken on Sunday, May 15th, when operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, arrested the wanted 59-year-old drug baroness, Bridget Oghenekevwe Emeka, a.k.a Mama, at her palatial mansion where she cooks and distributes different kinds of illegal drugs.
According to Babafemi, the drug baroness arrest was effected during a coordinated simultaneous operations at her spacious mansion and drug bunks, where she hosts drug users and sells illicit substances to them and others in portions of Warri, Delta state.

In addition to her arrest, nine (9) of her workers and allies were also arrested during the coordinated raid.
Items recovered from her mansion includes various quantities of illegal drugs, a pump action gun, 15 cartridges, documents, two cars and mobile phones.
Five of her employees who cook, cut, package, and distribute the illegal were arrested in her home in Favour Street, Otukutu, Effurun Warri, while four of her associates were arrested at her drug bunks in different parts of town during raids by NDLEA Strike Force officers backed by the military.
The drug baroness has been under surveillance for weeks after her identification as a major distributor of illicit drugs in the South South state.
According to NDLEA, Bridget cooks various kinds of illegal drugs for local distribution and use in her drug joints.
Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Retd), Chairman/Chief Executive of the NDLEA, praised the officers and soldiers involved in all of the stages leading up to the final execution of the operation plan. He also thanked the military for their unflinching support for the Agency.
