A notorious cultist who has been terrorizing Abeokuta and its environs has been reportedly arrested by the Ogun State Police Command.
Abimbola Oyeyemi, the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, made the announcement in a statement on Sunday.

The notorious cultist, Rotimi Adebiyi, a.k.a. Paracetamol, has been on the command’s wanted list for his role in multiple cult confrontations in the state, according to Oyeyemi.

According to Oyeyemi, the suspect, a leader of the Eiye cult, used to come into the city of Abeokuta to strike and then flee to his sanctuary in Ifo.
“At about 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2022, police agents acting on credible intelligence raided his home, where he was arrested.”
“One cut-to-size locally-made pistol, one live cartridge, assorted charms, weeds presumed to be Indian hemp, and a cutlass were recovered from him.”
According to Oyeyemi, the Commissioner of Police, Lanre Bankole, has ordered a complete inquiry into the suspect’s past activities in order to charge him to court as soon as possible.
