Three notorious Lagos traffic robbers were reportedly arrested by the Police Rapid Response Squad (RRS) near the Ikeja City Mall on Thursday.
According to a report by Daily Post, the Mile 2 park branch of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) also assisted in the arrest of four traffic robbers in the vicinity.

Following reports about their illegal activities, Anifowoshe Kolawole (20), Patrick Ameke (21) and John Britto (27) were picked up around the mall.
While Segun Peters (22), Kabiru Odeh (25), Nurudeen Suraj (22) and Dennis Ikuvbogie (24) were reportedly arrested at Mile 2.

RRS Commander, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, dispatched plain clothed personnel as undercover to monitor and arrest the suspects after receiving a tip-off about their illicit activities in the area.
One of the suspected Lagos traffic robbers identified as Suraj, who was caught and imprisoned at Agboju Police Station last Monday, was said to have just being released from prison about two months ago.
“Most of the time, the suspects pose as beggars or nose mask sellers. The ruse was used to rob cars and pedestrians who were visiting the complex, according to the RRS.
Abiodun Alabi, the Commissioner of Police, praised individuals who contribute intelligence to the security agency.
More citizens cooperating with the police would make neighborhoods safer, according to Alabi.
