John Ijamu

In a continued effort to recapture escaped inmates from Kuje custodial center during the jail break, on 31/07/2022 at about 0700hrs based on a tip off, Police operatives attached to Counter Terrorist Unit (CTU) of the Command arrested another escapee identified as John Ijamu aged 42yrs ‘m’ of Apa LGA, Benue State but residing along Mandela road, Minna.
The inmate was arrested in his residence in Minna and during interrogation; he confessed that he escaped from the custodial facility during the attack along with other inmates while he escaped further to Lapai area where he stayed in a Mosque for about two weeks before he arrived Minna on 28/07/2022.
He claimed that he was arrested in Abuja since the year 2020 for the offence of criminal conspiracy, armed robbery and receiving stolen property and he was remanded in the facility for the above mentioned offence he committed.
Abubakar Muhammad

23–year-old Kuje Prison escapee, Abubakar Muhammad, has been arrested in Mubi Local Government Area of Adamawa State. According to reports, the escapee was arrested by operatives of the state police command on Wednesday on his way home to Bama in Borno. The suspect is said to have confessed that he have been in Kuje Prison custody since 2017 following allegation of terrorism leveled against him.
Abdulkadir Musa

30 year old Abdulkadir Musa one of the terror escapees from Kuje prison was allegedly rearrested by the Katsina State Police Command on the 15th July,2022. He’s said to be from Bakori, Kastina State. According to reparts, he has since been transferred to Nigeria Correctional Service, Kastina.
Kamal Abubakar

Another one of the Kuje Prison Fugitives identified as 33-year-old Kamal Abubakar, was reportedly re-arrested on Thursday evening (14/7/2022) in Danmusa Local Government Area of Katsina state, during a raid on suspected criminal hideouts in the council.
He was allegedly rearrested based on credible information that spurred the Divisional Police Officer of Danmusa and his team to carry out raids on suspected criminal hideouts within the LGA of the State.

Suleiman Sidi

Another one of the fleeing Kuje Prison break escapees, Suleiman Sidi, was reportedly arrested in the early hours of Monday 11th July at Area 1 motorpark, in the Federal Capital Territory while attempting to board a commercial vehicle to Maiduguri, Borno state.
When he was searched, three wraps of cannabis sativa were found on him.
According to NDLE A who effected his arrest, Sidi confimed he was remanded at the Kuje Correctional Centre for terrorism and robbery charges, adding that he was indeed one of the inmates who escaped from Kuje Prison.
Hassan Hassan

Hassan Hassan was reportedly rearrested on July 9th, 2022 at about 1:30PM. Hassan Hassan whose name and picture was amongst the escaped inmates with Boko Haram/Terrorism Case was allegedly recaptured by the Eagle-eyed Police operatives of the Nasarawa State Police Command at Keffi.
Kazeem Murtala

54-year-old Kazeem Murtala, one of the escaped terror suspect from Kuje Prison was allegedly rearrested on 9/07/2022 in a compound in Bakasi area in Suleja based on credible intelligence.
The inmate was said to have confessed that he escaped from Kuje Custodial Centre during the attack where he was serving a jail term after conviction for an offence he committed. He added that he had been in the custody for the past two years.
Yakubu Abdul Mumuni

Another escaped prisoner identified as 28-year-old Yakubu Abdul Mumuni was arrested in Ogun State following information received by policemen at Sango Ota Divisional Headquarters that the convict was sighted somewhere around the area. Upon receiving the information, the Divisional Police Officer, Sango Ota Division, Superintendent of Police Saleh Dahiru, quickly mobilised his men and moved to the area where the convict was apprehended.
The suspect is said to have confessed to the police that he escaped from the correctional centre in Kuje when the facility was attacked by terrorists. He (the escapee) also stated further that he was convicted by the Kogi State High Court for the offence of Conspiracy and Culpable Homicide and sent to Kuje correctional centre.
