Popular Nigerian Singer, Kizz Daniel was arrested in Tanzania on the 8th of August, 2022, for alleged breach of contract.
Sources in Dar-es-Salaam alleged that Kizz was scheduled to perform at a show on Sunday 7th August, 2022, but failed to make it to the show citing ‘ridiculous’ reasons.
In a viral video on social media, disgruntled Tanzanian fans who were said to have paid up to $5,000 to watch the singer perform destroyed facilities at the supposed venue of the show.

Daniel, it was learnt, landed in Tanzania for the show on Sunday morning but he claimed he could not perform as he forgot his bag containing clothes and other valuables needed in Uganda.
The development irked his fans as they invited the Police and got the Nigerian music star arrested at his hotel this afternoon.

In another viral video on social media, the Nigerian singer and his companions were seen being taken by Tanzanian police officers from Johari Rotana hotel to Oysterbay Police Station, both in the city centre.

According to the show promoter, the afrobeats super star’s management said Kizz forgot his bag during a flight change in Nairobi hence he had nothing to wear for the show.

They said efforts to make arrangement from several clothing stores in Dar es Salaam did not yield any positives as the singer could not find ‘anything suitable’ for his style and status.
The Buga-hitmaker is currently on his “Afro Classic World Tour”, which sold out in Uganda on Saturday. He was to perform in Tanzania’s coastal commercial hub before heading to Rwanda on Saturday, August 13. He has toured the United Kingdom and the United States.
He reportedly collected sixty thousand dollars and failed to perform at the event.
