The terrorists who kidnapped passengers from the Abuja-Kaduna train released another video showing the captives being flogged mercilessly.
The passengers were abducted in the evening of March 28, when terrorists attacked a train headed towards Kaduna from Abuja.
During the attack on the train, eight passengers were killed and an unspecified number of passengers were kidnapped.

The above video of the Abuja-Kaduna train victims being flogged mercilessly is indeed distressing.
From all indications, the victims have lost faith in the Nigerian government, so they kept appealing to other countries like Britain, America, France and Saudi Arabia to come to their aid as the Nigerian government has failed them.
In the over two minutes video, the attackers claimed that they’re members of Shekau Faction of Boko Haram.
Their leader, who spoke first, said “we’ll sell some like our Imam said he would sell the Chibok girls”. This should put to bed the theory that bandits carried out the attack. It’s another evidence that Boko Haram is active in the North Central.
One speaker said he was among those who escaped from Kuje Prison, suggesting that the Kuje attack was carried out by JAS, not ISWAP or they worked together. The terrorists concluded by threatening to kill the captives if their demands aren’t met and that more attacks are coming.
The victims on the other hand expressed strong anger at the Nigerian government, with some cursing Buhari by name while sobbing, “is this how you’d have behaved if your family was kidnapped?”. They said the government has neglected them and is now frustrating negotiations between the abductors and their families.
According to a Daily Trust report, “the video released at the weekend showing terrorists beating up helpless passengers abducted from the Abuja-Kaduna AK9 train service on March 28, 2022, was triggered by anger over the blockade of a ransom in exchange for some of the captives.
According to the Daily Trust, since the attack, which took place four months ago and resulted in the killing of about nine passengers and the kidnapping of 60 others, at least 20 of the victims have been released in batches after each paying a N100m ransom, while more than 40 victims are still held captive.
It was learnt that fresh negotiations to free a new group of victims were truncated when security personnel prevented ransom bearers from delivering the agreed-upon sum.
