Police in Zamfara said they have rescued three kidnap victims along Dansadau forest as part of their ongoing search and rescue operations targeted at freeing all abducted victims currently held captive at various bandit strongholds.
The kidnap victims, according to TVC NEWS are natives of Birnin Gwari and Tumburku villages in Kaduna state’s Giwa local government area.

One of them is a minor who has been held captive for nearly two years, while the other two have been held captive for sixteen days.

The underage victim was forced to rear animals for the Bandits, according to a press statement signed by Zamfara Police Spokesperson Mohammed Shehu.
According to reports, the victims were rescued by Police Tactical Operatives, who were on a rigorous Anti-Banditry Patrol along the Mashayar Zaki Forest on the Dansadau axis.
Police in Zamfara State therefore assured members of the public that the Command, in collaboration with other security agencies, would continue to work assiduously to preserve the state’s long-term peace and security.
Dansadau forest is connected to other dangerous forests in the Northwest and Central regions, linking states such as Kaduna, Niger, Kebbi, and Sokoto.
The forest has a reputation for being a haven for violent criminals.
