On Tuesday, March 29, 2022, a 28-year-old Kenyan man allegedly poisoned two ladies, one of them his wife, and absconded leaving their lifeless bodies spread out on the floor.
The Kenyan man, a 28-year-old identified as Sebastian Kamande allegedly poisoned his wife Rahab Gathoni and her friend Abigael Gathoni, who had come to visit, before fleeing their Dandora house in yet another cold-blooded murder involving fighting couples.
The incident was reported to Kenya Directorate of Criminal investigations using #Fichua, after which the Kenyan anti-crime agency sprung into action almost immediately.

The suspect eluded the dragnet as investigators from the Crime Research and Intelligence Bureau (CRIB), DCI Nairobi Regional Headquarters, and Dandora closed in on him at his hiding place in Dandora, throwing a spanner in the investigators’ efforts.
Determined to bring the subject to justice, the detectives went back to the drawing board and tracked him down in Embu utilizing the DCI National Forensic Laboratory’s Cyber & Digital Forensics capabilities.

Immediately, a lean team of three swift men was dispatched towards Embu and as their hatchback descended the meandering highway towards the Sagana river bridge, the sleuths got wind that the suspect was on his way back to Nairobi, in a bid to outfox them.
In a well-coordinated operation monitored at the Cyber & Digital forensics operations room, the suspect was ejected from a vehicle he had boarded, resulting in an urgent change of mission and a dramatic arrest along the highway.
The suspect was placed under arrest and offered a ride to the capital where he’s currently chilling out in the Dandora police station.
According to preliminary investigations, the couple’s love story had run its course, and the man’s parents’ efforts to help them reignite the dying ambers of their once joyful union had hit a dead end.
According to reports, the fighting couple were invited to Kakuzi, Murang’a County, by the man’s parents last weekend in an attempt to save their marriage.
However, when they returned to their Dandora house after the peace meeting, the victim (late wife), who had recently received a visitor, refused to cook for the husband, prompting the irritated husband to enter the kitchen.
The suspect cooked and laced the evening meal of rice and stew with an undisclosed poison and served it to the two women before fleeing.
On Monday, according to Kenya Directorate of Criminal investigations, the suspect will be arraigned for the twin killings of the two women, in violation of Penal Code sections 203 and 204.
