The Multinational Joint Task Force have reportedly dealt effectively with terrorists from the Islamic State’s West Africa Province (ISWAP) in their unsuccessful incursion against a military formation in Arege in north east Borno.
According to reports, the terrorists attacked the town on Monday, May 30, 2022.
They allegedly came through multiple flanks with an unconfirmed number of ISWAP foot soldiers on Gun Trucks. However, they were neutralized by the superior firepower of the gallant troops.

Many more terrorists fled with bullet wounds, Intelligence Sources told Zagazola Makama, a Counter-Insurgency Expert and Security Analyst in Lake Chad.
The sources also verified that no military personnel were injured during the operation.
One Hilux, an anti-aircraft gun, many rounds of ammo, and three AK47 magazines were among the items recovered from the terrorists.
