Again, ISWAP Terrorists Attack Chibok Community, Kidnaps 6 Children Including 5 Girls

Terrorists from the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) reportedly abducted five girls and a boy on Monday, April 18, during an evening raid in the Yimirmugsa area of Chibok in northeastern Nigeria.

According to HumAngle, local source said ISWAP terrorists invaded Yimirmugsa in the Kautikari district of Chibok Local Government in southern Borno around 6 p.m. and killed one person.

Iswap terrorists

The attack took place a few kilometers south of Kautikari town and a few kilometers east of Pemi. Both towns were reportedly targeted by iswap raids in January.

The villages are also only a few kilometers from the general area of the Sambisa forest, where the military recently attacked harbour areas and seized arms and equipment.

Chibok has been under constant terror attack by Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorist group.

In December 2020, members of a community-based organisation in Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State, Kibaku Area Development Association, (KADA), cried out over the escalated attacks on them by Boko Haram insurgents whom they claim were bent on laying the towns desolate.

They said the terror attacks, which had been affecting the area since 2014, had intensified and would worsen if nothing was done urgently to contain it.

Thousands of people have died and nearly two million people have been displaced as a result of the violence in Nigeria’s northeast. More than 8 million people in the affected states of Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe are in desperate need of help.
