Nigerian troops foiled attack on Niger Village.
Nigerian troops foiled attack by armed men suspected to be Boko Haram terrorists on Pandogari Community in the Rafi Local Government Area of Niger State.
According to a report by Sahara Repoters, gallant Nigerian troops showed bravery and courage in securing the community which was reportedly attacked by armed men numbering about a hundred of them.

The armed men who rode in on their motorcycles were said to be fully armed with military gadgets. The report has it that their intention was to attack the residents, destroy their properties, kill innocent people, and possibly kidnap others which is their usual mode of operation.
Unfortunately for them, gallant troops of the Nigerian Army were fully on ground to give them the welcome they deserved by taking the fight to them. The gallant troops engaged them in serious gun duel that lasted for several hours.
As a result of the huge number of the bandits, the gallant Nigerian troops on ground called for immediate backup which further compounded the woes of the armed men.
Many of them were reportedly eliminated as a result of the superior firepower of the Nigerian Army during the gun duel.
A source revealed to Sahara Repoters that Nigerian troops foiled attack on the village by engaging the gunmen in gun battle for several hours, forcing them (soldiers) to seek for reinforcements.
A top local vigilante official who preferred anonymity described the battle as “very intense and serious.”
“They were Fulani from neighbouring countries. They were very young; they were foreigners because of their mode of dressing and their intonations,” he added.
“They are equally looking for a base in the state because of the military operations in Zamfara and Katsina states. They have been dislodged there, so they are desperately looking for a base in Niger State,” he added.
