Gunmen have reportedly attacked a community In Manchok, Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State, killing one person and kidnapping the rector of the Federal School of Statistics in the process.
According to PUNCH METRO, a source revealed that the incident occurred on Monday night at around 8 p.m. when the attackers stormed the village in large numbers.
The source said, “the terrorist stormed the community at night and killed one person while a lady was kidnapped including the Rector Of Federal School of Statistics.”

According to reports, this attack is coming just three weeks after two Ad hoc staff who were in charge of distributing mosquito nets were shot and killed on the Zangang-Zankan road in the same LGA.
John Auta, a resident of the area, told the Punch correspondent that the terrorist attacked the community with sophisticated weapons and shot sporadically before kidnapping the duo.
He lamented that some communities in the local government had been experiencing attacks by the terrorist and security officials were not doing enough to arrest the situation.
He called on the government to ensure that security agencies were stationed in the area to curtail the activities of these criminal elements.
