A video showing the moment a fulani herdsman (and also a suspected kidnapper) led police operatives and a crowd of people to the forest where the body of one of his victims was dumped has surfaced online.
The footage, which was captured by CHANNELS TV a few days ago, showed the 30-year-old fulani herdsman identified as Usman Mohammed leading a team of crack-detectives to Uhen forest in the Yoba Camp axis of the Ovia Northeast Local Government Area in Edo state.

Speaking to journalists at the scene of the crime, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Edo State Command, Chidi Nwabuzor explained that the suspect was part of a 5-man kidnapping gang that invaded a community in Yoba and abducted 3 persons, namely Segun Oyekanmi (35), Sunday Keema (63), and Margaret James (45).

SP Chibuzor went on to reveal that Usman was a well-known cattle herder in the community where the crime took place, adding that the revelation that he was the mastermind of the kidnapping came as shock to residents of the area.
On his part, Usman confessed that he led a group of 4 other cattle herders into the community, adding that the victims were kidnapped at gunpoint. The incident was said to have taken place on September 17, 2022.
