He graduated from Springfield College in Massachusetts with a degree in exercise physiology in 1998. He was encouraged to pursue wrestling instruction after relocating to California. Cena grew up watching professional wrestling, and his father, Johnny Fabulous, worked as an announcer for the Massachusetts-based entertainment sport.

In the year 2000, Cena debuted in professional wrestling as “The Prototype.”

Cena is a rapper in addition to his wrestling career. He sang “Basic Thuganomics,” his fifth WWE theme song, which was included on the WWE Originals soundtrack CD.
