Emmanuel Baptist Church Kaduna Attack: 13 Girls Still In Bandits’ Custody

Emmanuel Baptist Church, Kakau Daji, Kaduna State Attack: 13 Girls And 2 Women Remain In Captivity.

According to a report emanating from HumAngle, thirteen girls and two women remain in captivity among over 70 congregants seized at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Kakau Daji, Kaduna State, Northwest Nigeria.

The source of this report, according to HumAngle are some of the victims who had been liberated.

“Two of the women are married, and the 13 females are unmarried,” Iliya, one of the victims, told HumAngle. “They stated that they will not release them until the remainder of the ransom is paid. Although they released all of the men.”

The women were most likely left behind because armed organizations and terrorists operating in the area saw them as prime targets.

It was previously reported that the Kaduna State Government received over 60 victims of abductions within the state from the Nigerian military.

Although some were kidnapped along Kachia road in Southern Kaduna, victims of the Oct. 31 attack on Emmanuel Baptist Church, Kakau Daji, were the majority, according to Samuel Aruwan, the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs.

Government authorities has made no mention of whether or not a ransom was paid.

The Emmanuel Baptist Church attack claimed the lives of two people and left two others with bullet wounds.
