Southeast regional security force Ebubeagu is reported to have killed a young widow, Ifeoma Nnebuo, while searching for members of the Eastern Security Network (ESN) of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) at Afor Atta Market in Atta Njaba Local Government Area in Imo State.
A young lady allegedly passed on, on Monday, at St Mary’s Hospital Umuowa Orlu, after being hit by a bullet from Ebubeagu Security operatives who, the previous day (Sunday), invaded Afor Atta Market, Njaba LGA, in ORLU ZONE of Imo State, shooting sporadically, creating pandemonium among people in the vicinity.
Ifeoma, a Fashion Designer, whose shop is located at the Afor Atta Market, was reportedly rushed to the hospital after being hit by the gun shot. But unfortunately, she could not make it.

Ebubeagu men have received heavy criticisms lately, following series of killings linked to the government-backed security outfit. Most prominent of their unwarranted killings was the recent massacre of about 14 Otulu youths returning from a traditional marriage ceremony in Awo-Omamma.
There have been calls and protests for the disbandment of the outfit, but the state government appears to have turned deaf ears to those protests.
May Ifeoma’s soul rest in peace!
