Drug addict son who has been trying to kill his biological mother on several occasions finally succeeds by setting her ablaze.
Mrs Comfort Jiya, the former Principal of Government Girls’ Secondary School, Sabon Wuse, and Maryam Babangida Girls’ Science College, Minna, was set on fire by her biological son, Steven Jiya.
According to Daily Trust, the unfortunate tragedy occurred in Minna, the capital of Niger State.

Steven, a drug addict, allegedly returned from Suleja, still in Niger, on Monday and poured petrol on his mother when she was in her kitchen at her home in Minna’s Darusalam Area.

According to a family source, she died on Friday around 3 p.m. at Minna General Hospital, where she was receiving treatment.
Another source told Daily Trust that Steven had attempted to harm his mother multiple times before succeeding when he poured petrol on her.
DSP Wasiu Abiodun, the Public Relations Officer for the Niger State Police Command, could not be reached for comment at the time this article was made.
However, according to Daily Trust, Steven has already been remanded by a Minna high court. He had been arraigned in court by the GRA Police Division in Minna.
