In the Sangotedo Area of Lagos State, a dispatch rider caught with a baby in his courier box was beaten by an angry mob.
The yet-to-be-identified dispatch rider caught with a baby was beaten and hauled to the police station by an enraged mob.

The circumstances surrounding the child’s confinement in the box remain unknown.
“This is the child that was abducted,” one of the people in the background was heard saying in a video of the incident published on Twitter.
The Punch Metro in its publication on the matter revealed that its correspondents contacted, CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu, the Lagos Police Public Relations Officer, who confirmed that the command’s attention had been directed to the viral video.
“The command desires to inform the public that the incident purported to have occurred in the Sangotedo area of Lekki was not reported to any police station to allow the police to take proper action,” the statement stated.
“Despite the fact that the incident was not reported, Commissioner of Police Abiodun Alabi has directed that efforts be stepped up to locate the alleged dispatch rider as well as the child’s parents or guardians so that the police can investigate the occurrence,” he said.
The news comes just five days after Oluwabamise Ayanwole, 22, was kidnapped and murdered after boarding a BRT in the same axis.
It would be recalled that Bamise’s body was discovered with various body parts removed on Monday, March 7 after he went missing after boarding a BRT bus from Ajah.
On February 26, Bamise went missing while returning to Ota from Ajah, when she boarded a BRT bus with the number 240257 heading to Oshodi at Chevron Bus-Stop at 7 p.m.
