Daredevil bandits have kidnapped nine people, including a community leaders wife and four daughters.
The bandits, according to report, raided the home of Malam Ibrahim Tanko, the Sarkin Hausawa of Anguwar Azara in Jere, along the Abuja-Kaduna highway.

According to Daily Trust, Malam Tanko confirmed the unfortunate incident in a phone conversation with it’s correspondence, naming his kidnapped wives as Maimuna Ibrahim and Hauwawu Ibrahim.
He did say, though, that Hauwawu, his senior wife, was eventually set free because the daredevil bandits discovered that she had high blood pressure.
He claimed that the bandits, who were armed with sophisticated weapons, broke into his home at 11:52 p.m. on Tuesday.
He claimed he was able to go out through one of the exit doors.
“They went into the room where my daughters were sleeping and whisked four of them away at gunpoint after they searched and couldn’t find me,” he said.
Aisha Ibrahim, Farida Ibrahim, Zainab Ibrahim, and Hussaina Ibrahim are the names of the Sarkin Hausawa’s abducted daughters.
According to him, the bandits also went to a neighbor’s house and abducted four residents, including Laraba Umar, a nursing mother.
“In fact, the woman’s husband was macheted until he passed out. He’s being treated at a private hospital in Katari right now,” he stated.
Soldiers came an hour after the daredevil bandits had fled with their victims, according to the Sarkin Hausawa.
When contacted, ASP Mohammed Jalige, a spokesman for the Kaduna state police command, said the police were unaware of the incident.
He promised to contact the Katari police area commander and get back to Daily Trust reporters, but as of the time of filing this report, he had not done so.
