A notorious kidnapper identified as Muhammed Isa has been arrested after Nigerian Police Officers from Karewa Area Command in Adamawa state bursted the hideout of a kidnap syndicate that has been terrorizing residents of the state in recent times.
GallantMilitaryInfo learnt that the police, acting on intelligence stormed their hideout and arrested a member of the 3-men notorious kidnap gang, recovering N946,000 cash and various types of weapons from him.

A statement by the police public relations officer of Adamawa state, DSP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje revealed that, on August 4, 2022, the command’s operatives attached to Karewa Area Command dismantled a criminal network and apprehended Muhammad Isa, a 30-year-old resident of Maigero, Song local government area of the state.
According to the statement, he was the only one arrested from a kidnap syndicate of three members.

In addition to almost a million naira cash recovered from the notorious kidnapper, the police also recovered four AK-47 rifles and one Toyota Corolla LE vehicle with registration number FST 749 DC from him.

The statement by the police reads;
“Sustained efforts at improving public safety and security has yielded result as one member from a gang of three has been arrested for unlawful possession of firearms and Kidnapping.”

“Items recovered from him include; (4)Ak -47 rifles,1 Corolla LE vehicle, the sum of N946,000 cash, 164 round of live Ammunitions, chains, padlocks, charms and others.”
“CP Mohammed Ahmed Barde, psc (+), the Commissioner of Police, has promised the good people of Adamawa state that the police will continue to battle crime and improve public safety and security across the state in preparation for the local government election.”
The statement further revealed that 164 rounds of live Ammunitions were also recovered from the suspect who is said to be a member of a notorious kidnapping organization that has been terrorizing Yola North, Yola South, Girei, Fufore, and Song local government areas of Adamawa state.
Reacting to the arrest, the state’s commissioner of police praised the Area Commander of Karewa police division and his operatives for dislodging and reclaiming public space, and urged all Divisional police officers (Dpos) and their supervisory Area commanders to put forth increased effort in dislodging the crime network and deny criminals the opportunity to regroup anywhere in the state.
He also appealed for further engagement with members of the public.
The police Boss also emphasized that the arrested kidnapper and his collaborators would be made to face the wrath of the law.
