Police in Katsina have arrested a 20-year-old man named Jume Bello for reportedly raping his master’s wife and robbing other married women in the state’s Musawa Local Government Area.
According to the police spokesman, Superintendent Gambo Isah, Bello was arrested on May 31 after three women, all from Jikamshi Village in Musawa Local Government Area, reported to Musawa Division that the 20-year-old had criminally trespassed into their homes, attacked them with a knife, robbed them of their money, handset, and forcefully had unlawful carnal knowledge of them.
During investigation, the suspect confessed that one of the women was his master’s wife.
According to the 20-year-old, he committed the crime after his master sent him on an errand to get a water vendor for his wife, and then he returned later that evening and committed the crime.
Bello also admitted to taking her money, as well as the money of the other two women.
He said, “I used a knife to scare them. I took one of them to the backyard, while the others were on their matrimonial bed.”

Similarly, the police image maker stated that the command was successful in arresting Yahaya Muntari, a 23-year-old armed robber and motorcycle snatcher.
According to Isah, the suspect specialized in luring unwary commercial motorcycle riders to lonely roads and strangling, killing, and stealing their motorcycles with motorcycle clutch cable wire.
He claimed that he was apprehended by a police patrol squad assigned to Anti-kauraye along Batsari Road, beside the state-owned television station, where he lured Abdullahi Bello, a 22-year-old commercial motorcycle rider, and strangled him with a cable.
According to a police spokesman, the victim was rescued by quick police action and brought to a General Hospital.
He went on to say that over the course of the inquiry, the suspect admitted to killing several of his victims using the same method, and named Abubakar Musa, 17, and Zaharaddini, 25, as members of his gang.
All of the suspects have been arrested and confessed to the crime, and the investigation is still ongoing to apprehend other members of the syndicate.
