Photo Story: Nigerian Troops Kills Several Boko Haram Terrorists, Destroys Their Camps And Rescue 30 Kidnapped Victims

The Nigerian Army has announced that troops of Operation Desert Sanity in the North-East killed many Boko Haram terrorists (BHT) and Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists in an encounter at Forward Operating Base, Ndufu and Musiri communities in Borno State.

According to the Army, the offensive by troops of Operation Desert Sanity achieved yet another victory, with it’s troops neutralizing many ISWAP/Boko Haram terrorists in the Borno State communities of Ndufu and Musiri.

In addition, troops recovered weapons and rescued 30 local inhabitants, including women and children who had been kidnapped by the insurgents.

In addition, troops destroyed a number of terrorist camps. The clearance operation is still in progress.

The Nigerian Army on the other hand is leaving no stone unturned in its efforts to rid the North-East of these Islamist Insurgent. A total of 470 Boko Haram fighters, including more than 50 senior commanders and their families, surrendered to forces of Operation Hadin Kai in the southern part of Borno State around three weeks ago, precisely on February 23, 2022.

This came after scores of rebels were reportedly slain during military ground and air bombardments of their sanctuaries and hideouts in the Lake Chad region.
